Couture is coming off a unanimous decision victory against Brandon Vera at UFC 105. Coleman last fought at UFC 100 when he out-wrestled Stephan Bonner and won a unanimous decision.
Although Thiago Silva lost a unamimous decision to Rashad Evans at UFC 108, Thiago nearly finished the fight in the 3rd roung with a two-punch combination that dazed Evans. After the exchange, Thiago was able to push Rashad to the ground but was unable to capitalize from there.

BJ Penn’s high kick to Diego Sanchez’s forehead this past weekend at UFC 107 has added another epic cut for MMA enthiasists around the world. Although dominating the entire fight, Penn was unable to finish Sanchez until the 5th round when he sent a high kick to Diego’s head, causing a nasty cut and forcing a doctor’s stoppage. This marked the first time that Diego was finished in an MMA fight.

The Ohio Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation will be hosting the 3rd Annual Buckeye Border Grappling Championship on July 25, 2009, at St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo. This is Ohio’s only televised grappling event and will feature grapplers from South America and various U.S. states, including Illinois, Tennessee, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania.
